Conservatives think that everyone in the world will exploit any right you give them. Morally speaking, this exhibits a very limited development, and a limited trust in human nature. I am starting to believe that limitation lies in the conservative person, more than the rest of us.

People who cheat on their significant other become extremely paranoid about what their partner is doing behind their back. I suppose this is because a cheater knows what a cheater is truly capable of doing without supervision. Every act or word becomes supicious.

I work with an arch conservative Hispanic man. He talks like a white person. He makes racist statements about Mexican people. He hates Mexican food. He is Republican, and loves George W. Bush.

He was showing us pictures of his little pride and joy today. Not his kids! His $17,000 collection of automatic assault weapons. He had a little slide show of photos on his laptop. I took one look at that weapon on the screen, and felt disgust. "Gee, Danny, what kind of animals do you hunt with that thing?" I said it before I even thought about the other six people in the room. "Paper and steel ones," he replied, as if I was the off-kilter one.

So, the guy went on to talk about the fact that he paid thousands of dollars for these guns. He collects them because his Second Ammendment rights say he can. If the Constitution says you can do it, by God and Glory, you do.

No wonder the conservatives believe that all single women live only to become impregnated and abort babies while smoking pot in their girlfriend's living room where they watch violent TV shows about gay people, and eat low-carb diet food purchased with food stamps.
