Phoenix D-x
Codexed is up and ...er...walking. The development is underway, and I'm thrilled with the possibility of not having to learn MT. Heh.
I think the group is putting forth an earnest effort, and they certainly have the forward momentum. Stephen Deken is playing a supporting role in the process. That is a comfort, since he has done all of this before. I'm actually getting excited about the whole thing. This time, it will really be ours. Viva communism.
I volunteered to assist with the copy writing portion of development. On the other hand, I don't have nearly enough faith in my coding to offer that. I have seen many talented people on Diary-x in the past, so I don't feel the need to jump into that area. They'll be just fine without my interference.
This is going to rock the house, though. Keep your eyes on that URL.
The one place where I can go the most good, I can't: donations. I'm still doing that fish-flop where the finances are concerned. I would give until it hurts, but I'm already in pain. I'm hoping that my quarterly bonus will hit my next check and everything will go back to normal. I can't take much more of this. It doesn't help that Mac is staying with me while a woman from Italy rents his house. It's not a burden, but the food does run out twice as fast. It's a difference. Guh.
I just remembered that I was going to write a lengthy entry about the saga of reviving my bricked RAZR phone. It's a gripping drama, full of links and references. I will have to do that tonight, perhaps. Today, I am going to focus on learning to use a VB module as a function in a query to support the use of a set of checkbox objects as a filtering criteria for a linked form. Yea, fun! I am going to make that shit work today, if it kills me. Which it should not.
I had a dream that I was romantically involved with John Hodgman. Dreams make no sense, but it was very sweet. He's a dreamy boy. I love geeks.
