I've seen this. Every time I try to have a debate with KJ's business partner, it becomes evident that his highly conservative mind is incapable of understanding or acknowledging the exceptions to the rule. I tell him that something should not be a law because there are too many exceptions that would not be addressed by the law. I give him examples. He fails to comprehend the impact.

I can see how this would work. Conservatives bang the same old drum because they are not well-equipped to change or adapt.
